DesignJoy πΊπΈ
With the shortage of certain tech jobs, one solution stands out: finding part-time freelancers.
Design is particularly interesting for this, since many companies (or projects within companies) need a designer, but not necessarily full-time.
Hence the idea of Designjoy.co (and many others like https://baked.design/) to develop an interesting revenue model:
- payment per task instead of per hour: most often, these sites indicate that you are entitled to an “unlimited” number of requests. In reality, designers will work on one element at a time, one after the other, and deliver something to you each day or every two days.
- a certain number of clients at the same time
The interest for them? If they move quickly, they can have a very interesting hourly rate! For example, the founder of Designjoy boasts of having a very good hourly rate.
For Designjoy, taking 1 month at $5000, you could, for example, create a complete landing page (or more), which ultimately isn’t too expensive in terms of rates. The idea probably already exists in your country but we think there’s still a lot of space of task-based part-time services like that.
$100,000 per month for DesignJoy (solopreneur), and…
Still probably not (too much) in your country (for now π): https://www.designjoy.co
Convertcalculator π³π±
We often wonder why companies are forced to hide their prices behind a “Schedule a demo”. Don’t you?
Possibly, it brings in more revenue, because the client enters into a “funnel”…at least, that’s what marketing experts say.
But after the demo, why not let the client test the different variables of the price, to see if he prefers such option, and he can co-build his rate?
For now, few sites offer calculators to calculate the costs of a service / solution (ok, you obviously know the legendary Google Cloud calculator where we often get lost ourselves). And it’s a real shame, because it could give more freedom to customers, and possibly reduce the “commercial” costs of companies a bit.
That’s why we present ConvertCalculator, which is a tool for any type of online calculators (including cost estimates/simulators, but not only that). The tool is great (we’ve tested it), but itβs too bad itβs only in English because we can’t pass it on to a colleague if they don’t speak English well.
What we find most interesting about this tool is the ability to create real-time quotes: calculate the cost of installing solar panels considering cost prices, create a gardening quote, etc.
The use cases for small business are numerous, and that’s also why we think we need local versions of this tool: so that user guides, templates, and customer support are all in their native language.
+ $20,000 revenue per month, and…

Kanda π¬π§
What if craftsmen could more easily offer payment terms to their customers?
This would enable them to :
- win more contracts
- get paid more easily
That’s the idea behind Kanda, a tool that enables craftsmen to offer their customers a financing option in just a few minutes.
A sort of credit agency dedicated to craftsmen.
Of course, there are already plenty of “work credits” offered by traditional banks, but not specifically for craftsmen.
Seed fundraising (amount unknown), and…

Empire Flippers Capital πΊπΈ
We don’t want to tell you too much about “alternative assets”, those new niches where you can invest your money. But we’re going to make an exception today, because this service combines investment and entrepreneurship!
We’re talking about Empire Flippers Capital: Empire Flippers is a famous American marketplace where you can buy and sell sites.
Empire Flippers Capital is an investment fund (open from $25,000)
- the advantage for investors is that these sites pay for themselves within 2-4 years,
- and the site carefully selects digital marketing experts to take over the sites: they earn a % on resale, of course, while investing only 5% of the site’s price.
So the interests are aligned, and this fund is already performing well (20% annual returns for the first round).
The target π―: experts in digital marketing and digital services (to manage sites) and individual investors.
Sector: Finance, digital marketing.
$200M invested, and…
Still probably not in your country (for now π): https://empireflippers.com/capital-investingio/
Zed Technologies π¦πΊ
How about improving the transfer of medical files with patients?
For example:
- Why do we receive our dental treatment plan with a Wetransfer link?
- Why do doctors in some hospitals have to take photos of patients’ X-rays with their phones, only to reimport them on another computer?
- Why do we still sometimes leave with a CD for a medical examination?
Hence the idea of Zed Technologies, which can be seen as a file transfer tool for the medical sector. A simple idea, but not stupid.
The target π― : Clinics, hospitals, health centers
Sector: healthcare
$250k raised, millions of documents shared and…
Still probably not in your country (for now π): https://www.zedtechnologies.com.au/
Are you an expert in a marketing field? How about selling your expertise in the form of short videos?
It’s a great way to earn a high hourly rate, while doing what you love.
Hence the idea of Roast My Landing Page, which sells its expertise in user experience / site conversion rates, by offering a 15min video where it goes through the site to show the elements that could be improved.
The target π― : All types of companies with a site (more digital-oriented companies)
Sector: marketing
$6,000 / month, and…
Still probably not in your country (for now π): https://www.roastmylandingpage.com/
Delphia π¨π¦
Your data is worth its weight in gold… you know the saying…
What if you could use your shopping data to invest your money and get good returns?
That’s the idea behind delphia: the app extracts your banking data (anonymously and securely) to detect market trends…before the investment funds themselves do. The app then invests in the stock market according to these trends, and redistributes the profits to its users (you).
And what about the GDPR???
Well yes, it’s probably going to be complicated to make this work in the European Union or other countries with strict data rules (you’d have to check with a lawyer).
But we propose a very similar version: instead of asking individuals for their data, it’s also possible to ask companies for their B2B data (so no personal data in there). By analyzing companies’ purchases and sales, we can also analyze trends.
And you offer these companies the chance to invest money and redistribute the profits to them.
The target: Individuals (for Delphia), and companies for the variant we suggest.
Sector: finance

Medumo πΊπΈ
We have a friend who’s a doctor who told us that patients often forget tests for their appointments.
– “Have you got your scanner?”
– “Ah heck, I forgot it. But I brought back my X-ray from 2 years ago!”
– “Well, we’ll have to reschedule the operation for another date”.
Experience…
Hence the idea of Medumo (acquired by Philips), which sends SMS and e-mail notifications at the right times to improve patient care. In particular, to reduce the number of tests patients forget to take, and to reduce the workload on staff.
You can see this tool as a no-code tool for hospitals and clinics to make an automated SMS/mail sequence based on patient care.
The target π― : Medical professionals
Sector: medical

Resquared πΊπΈ
Perhaps you’ve noticed that there are already dozens of tools for retrieving lists of marketing directors in startups?
That’s great when you’re targeting startups.
However, when you’re a supplier to small hotels, there’s nothing left. You’ll have to scramble to find a suitable list to prospect hotel owners.
Hence the idea of Resquared, which provides specific prospecting lists to target local businesses, and sends prospecting emails directly inside the tool (a sort of lemlist for companies targeting local businesses).
Sector: marketing
Unknown fundraising amount, but they seem to have a good number of customers and 25 employees, and still probably not in your country (for now π):

RΓ©zi πΊπΈ
Wouldn’t it be ideal to have a company-specific CV for every interview?
It would make sense, especially when you consider that most employers spend less than 10 seconds reading your CV and deciding whether or not to move on to the next stage.
So yes, it’s better to be precise and not add anything unnecessary.
RΓ©zi helps you to create perfect CVs thanks to AI, that’s all.
Online CV creation tools already exist, but the arrival of LLM / GPT-4 changes the game: AI transforms what recommendations can be made to improve and personalize CVs.

Pulse πΊπΈ
Entrepreneurial/leadership communities are all well and good, but often one out of every two messages is advertising in disguise…
Pulse was created in response to this problem, with their punchline:
“No selling. No recruiting. No self promotion.” And it works…
A community with +15,000 executives who talk to each other about their real-life challenges.
Target π― : C-levels, executives
$10M raised, then acquired by Gartner, and still probably nothing in your country (for now π).

Keyvalues.com πΊπΈ
What if we looked for jobs based on the values of companies? For example, companies that are “ideal for parents,” or companies “where you make friends outside of work,” or even those with low turnover?
That’s the idea behind keyvalues.com, which offers numerous filters to find the ideal company (for engineering jobs).
TargetΒ π― : Companies + Job Seekers
β‘οΈ Why launch in your country? Job boards are often local, and Keyvalues has no plans to expand in other languages.

Plural πΊπΈ
What if we could all easily follow the activity of the members of the assembly in your country? Wouldn’t it be nice to know what the deputies are doing with our votes?
For now, only the big lobbying groups are engaged in parliamentary monitoring, but we’d like to democratize this a bit.
Plural uses AI and data to serve politics. In other words, you can search for a subject, see if it is often discussed in the chamber, and see if it’s a hot topic. You can also set alerts and collaborate internally on future legislative projects.
Especially since this data is already freely accessible in many countries, thanks to Open Data! But no one has yet put all this data into a user-friendly interface. So, all that’s left is to decipher and understand the API.Target π― : media, associations, citizens, businesses
β‘οΈ Why launch in your country? Each Open Data database is specific to each country, so Plural won’t be launching in your country for a while.
$10M raised, and still probably not in your country (for now π):

Flagship πΊπΈ
“Influencers are the future of retail,” says Flagship, a Californian startup founded by Instagram’s former Director of Data Science.
For now, influencers advertised for their brands by directly mentioning them in posts. But no tool existed to gather their favorite products in a shop and allow their audience to buy directly in their curated shop. Until now.
Flagship allows them to create an e-commerce website and handles everything for them: suppliers, payments, taxes, etc.
Target π― : Influencers
β‘οΈ Why replicate in your country? The platform needs to deal with suppliers and therefore local contacts, as influencers often promote local brands.
No money raised (but hundreds of shops created), and probably nothing in your country (for now π).
